Agility Foundations
Agility Foundations is a structured, confidence‑building class designed to introduce dogs and handlers to the core skills needed for future agility training. This class focuses on body awareness, focus, teamwork, and safe obstacle introduction while helping dogs learn how to work thoughtfully and confidently alongside their handler.
This class is suitable for a wide range of dogs and experience levels and does not require prior agility training. Foundational obedience skills are helpful but not required, making Agility Foundations an excellent starting point for teams interested in agility or looking to improve engagement, coordination, and communication.
In Agility Foundations, dogs are introduced to low‑impact agility equipment and exercises in a controlled, supportive environment. Emphasis is placed on safe movement, understanding obstacle concepts, and developing the ability to work through challenges without pressure or speed requirements. Each dog works at their own pace, allowing confidence and skills to develop gradually.
This class is especially beneficial for dogs who need confidence building, improved focus around distractions, or constructive outlets for physical and mental energy. Handlers learn how to support their dog’s movement, timing, and decision‑making while building clear communication and teamwork. Agility Foundations sets the stage for future agility courses while remaining valuable as a stand‑alone enrichment and skills class.
Build confidence, coordination, and connection through Agility Foundations.
