Puppy Training FAQs
When should I start training my puppy?
Training should begin as soon as you bring your puppy home—typically around 8 weeks old. Early training helps prevent bad habits and builds clear structure from the start.
Which program is best for my puppy?
It depends on your goals and how involved you want to be:
- Want fast, structured results → Board & Train
- Want help but still be involved → Day Training
- Want to do it yourself → Private Lessons
- Want socialization + basics → Group Class
We’ll help guide you if you’re unsure.
Will my puppy be fully trained after one program?
No program creates a “finished dog.” We focus on building strong foundations and habits that you can maintain and continue developing at home. Consistency after training is key.
Do you help with potty training and crate training?
Yes. All programs include guidance on crate training and potty routines—both of which are essential for building structure and preventing accidents early on.
How long does puppy training take?
Training is an ongoing process. Puppies learn quickly, but consistency over time is what creates reliable behavior. Most foundational skills can be introduced early and improved with continued practice.
Is socialization included in training?
Yes. Proper exposure to new environments, people, and situations is a key part of puppy development. Our programs focus on controlled, appropriate socialization, not chaotic or uncontrolled interactions.
What if I don’t know what I’m doing?
That’s exactly why we’re here. Whether we’re doing the training for you or coaching you through it, our goal is to give you clarity, structure, and confidence moving forward.
